As the name suggests, you can use this application to convert images from one format to another. The thing is that AVS Image Converter has a bit of extra functionality to offer: rotate images, apply an effect, adjust the brightness, add a watermark.

The minimum system requirements for running AVS Image Converter are: 3Ghz processor or better, 2GB of RAM memory or more, admin rights for the installation process, active internet connection for activating the application. You can install AVS Image Converter on a PC powered by anything from Windows Vista up to Windows 8. It is worth mentioning that the setup wizard will ask if you want to integrate AVS Image Converter into the Explorer context menu (right click menu).

There are three tabs in the upper right hand corner of the application’s interface:
Conversion – convert images files to JPEG, PDF, GIF, PNG, TIFF, BMP, TGA, or RAS. Select the quality for the converted images, choose if you want to resize them, and choose if you want to rename them.
Corrections – apply one of multiple filters, adjust the brightness/contrast/temperature, pick the blur/sharpen level, select a texture.
Watermark – add an image or a text watermark to the converted images.

Using AVS Image Converter is a very simple three-step process. First up, you must load one of multiple images into the application. Next up, you must tell the application what you want it to do: pick the output format for the conversion, select a text watermark, apply a filter, and so on. And last but not least, click the Convert Now! button and let the application do its job.

Please note that the trial version of AVS Image Converter will put a watermark on all the images it converts. To get rid of this limitation you must purchase a license.

Convert, correct, and watermark all the photos you want with the user friendly and properly good AVS Image Converter.

Pros

The system requirements for running AVS Image Converter aren’t very high. The setup wizard asks if you want to integrate the application with the Windows Explorer context menu. The three tabs you see on the application’s interface clearly group all the functionality AVS Image Converter has to offer. Use AVS Image Converter to convert images, add watermarks to images, apply filters, and more.

Cons

The trial puts a watermark on the output; nag screen.
